Pink/Lace/Pearls at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge and SWEET STUFF!!

Happy Friday, everyone...anda woooohooooo what a wonderful week it has been!!! I hope that yours was great also and that your weekend will be even better!! The garage at the cottage house was finished today so things are looking UP!!!! Now it is ready for shelving to hide all of my stash.....hahahah

This week at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are being hosted by Mo who has given us the theme of PINK, PEARLS, and LACE and what could be more fun??? There are some very nice prizes available for some lucky participants this week...so please come on over and join in with us!!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is BG Kissing Booth, and all background panels are machine stitched. The absolutely darling image I used is Tilda With Love Laced Shoes from Magnolia-licious from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection. Although she is sold out at the moment, I'm sure Diana will be getting her back into stock very soon! She was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, adding a touch of Prisma Glitter to her top. For the horizontal I used White Guipure Lace with Vintage Seam Binding tied into a double flat bow. Down the left side I used some pearl trim by Recollections. To the right side I added a white sparkly heart and all flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts: Carnations, Sweetheart Blossoms, and a Wild Rose. The tiny Heart Shaped White Pearl Beads are also from WOC.

On the first panel on the inside I used a White Heart Paper Doily with more seam binding to dangle a heart charm from the Mixed Heart Charm Collection . On the second panel more of the pearl trim and another seam binding bow.

Sneak Peek at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge and SWEET STUFF!!

Happy Thursday, everyone!! I am hoping that you are having a magnificent week! Gosh...I am thinking that my brain is still on LA time and I am having a heck of a time settling back into to NC time!! Or maybe my brain has stopped working in its entirety....lolol!!!!

Today at the Lili's Little Fairies Blog Challenge we have a sweet heart sketch challenge and I designed the sketch...ohhhhhhhhh..one of the most difficult sketches for me to make a card with!!!!Where was my brain???? lolol But there is a magnificent prize from LOTV...so please come on over and join in with us this week!!!!

I made a card and matching gift box for the challenge and I used s SNEAKY PEEKY image from the new colllection at LOTV which I understand will be making its debut on February 20....so save those pennies and set those clocks!!!!

For the set I used Bazzill for the base and single matting, all of the DP is Pion Designs (Thanks so much, Bev) and all panels were machine stitched.....what a chore!!!!! The design of the card is using a Dutch Tri-Fold and I can't remember where I first saw it.....but I am hoping I forgot...lolol. Sewing and chopping 8 panels was enough to drive me NUTZ-er!!!! The sweet image is Party Girl from the upcoming release at LOTV. The image was colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, adding some Prisma Glitter to the balloons and hearts and some peach colored pearl trim to encircle the heart. I used some Sizzix die cuts for the bottom corners with pearls and additional pearls to soften the corners. To finish the front I used a gold cording bow to hold a double heart charm.

On the inside I used a tag from the collection, adding a gold cording bow...and on the wings a couple of Venise lace hearts with a peach pearl medallion. Aren't those papers beautiful????

On the back is just a heart with an organza ribbon bow.

I used the same darling image for the gift box, added some Guipure lace and more peach pearl trim around the box...On the top is a simple bouquet of peach/white organza roses with more pearls.

LOVE IS...at Wild Orchid Challenge

A very happy Monday to everyone! I hope you have all had a magnificent weekend and are moving into a fabulous week! I have done alot of resting up from last week's trip and I have been jet-lagged a gracious plenty!!! LOL...but I am ready to get back into the real swing of things...I think!!! And maybe very soon I can share with you some VERY EXCITING NEWS for me!!!! Does anybody want to guess??? Big Smile!!!!!

Today is the new challenge over at Wild Orchid Challenge and for this fortnight our theme is LOVE IS... and doesn't that sound fun!!!! We would love for you to come on over and join in with us...and you know there will be a magnificent prize, as always, from Wild Orchid Crafts. Jump over and have a peek and you will certainly want to try your luck this time!!!!

I made a card and candy box this time and I hope you like it! For the card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the Sweet Cakes Collection by Doodlebug Designs, and all panels are machine stitched. The absolutely darling image is from the newest release at Stampavie called Sweet Romance by Sarah Kay. The image was colored with Copics, Flexmarkers, and Promarkers. For the horizontal I used Deep Red Satin Ribbon tied into a double flat bow to dangle a puffed heart from the Mixed Heart Charm Collection. For the upper left corner I used a lovely Venice Lace Applique Heart as a base for the Red Crochet Flowers which are centered with a white pearl and resting on Mulberry Paper Rose Leaves. I used Self-Adhesive Pearls to soften all corners.

The M&M box is 3 1/8" square and is by Create & Treasure. I trimmed it with more red satin ribbon and White Lace Trimming, adding a small double flat bow. I used the same red crochet flowers and rose leaves for the top corners and large pearls for the feet.

On the first panel on the inside I used a MM metal Love of a Lifetime sign on red satin ribbon. For the jotting panel I used a White Paper Doily, another red satin bow and red crochet flower with rose leaf, as well as a MM Adore metal sign.

I hope you like my little creation today and will decide to come on over to Wild Orchid Challenge and show us your interpretation of the LOVE IS... theme!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!! I am back from CHA and what an experience it was!!!! It was a real pleasure and joy to meet everyone and to spend such fun time with them, too! Gosh I can't even begin to tell you what all I saw and what all we did. It is just an experience that every crafter should have!!! At least once in a lifetime!! LOLOL I am sure you will see loads of pictures but I am not a picture taker so when I get pictures from my pals, I will share them with you!! I can say that my hinie was dragging by the time I got home late last night and I'm not sure I will ever be the same!! Whew!!!!!! Happy Day everyone!!! I hope that all of you are well and hope that I am safe and sound in California at CHA by the time this posts!!!

But as I promised I wanted to show you this MAGNIFICENT hand-crafted oak Ribbon Holder and Bow Tying piece of art which was made by Mike Laverty, sweet hubby of Suzan for my Christmas present. Can you believe it! I am thinking that the inspiration came from Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace but isn't it beautiful!!! Mike, thank you so very much!!! I just love it and appreciate the work you put into it for me!!!!

SWEET STUFF!!! - as I promised!!! I wanted my FOLLOWERS to know that I was thinking about them even though I am away at CHA until Friday evening. So to go along with today's posting I would like to offer as some SWEET STUFF 20+ meters of 1" Organza Ribbon (more than 20 yards) and there are 20 different colors in the selection!!! I am finally breathing and thinking I may live, at least long enough to get to CHA and back...lol...well, maybe!!!! I feel much, much better...and now I know my sweet friend Bev from the UK is there safe and sound.....and I know my friend Suzan, along with her magnificent hubby Mike, are awaiting me, I am READY!!!!!!! Gosh, that reminds me that I must show you a picture of what Mike made for me for Christmas this year.....whew...it's beautiful!!!! I will be leaving on Sunday and back home on Friday so I am trying to decide what to do for all of you sweeties while I am away!!!! Any ideas???? SWEET STUFF everyday???? hmmmmmmmm I may not have cards....but let's try to help Jacque with her duplicates???? Good idea??? AND as soon as I get home....guess what!!!! I used the darling little Lollipop Tilda from Magnolia-licious which is not in stock at the moment--this tells us how popular the latest collection is!!!! So many little darlings!!! She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding a touch of Star Dust Stickles to the lace and Xmas Red Stickles to the lollipop. For the horizontal I used some 1/2" Red Satin Ribbon tied into a double flat bow. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: Red Poppies, Cherry Blossoms, Carnations, Sweetheart Blossoms, and Heather. To satisfy the sentiment requirement I used a MM metal/rhinestone LOVE sign.

The inside is VERY simple because I wanted all of the lovely contrasting Maja papers to show...adding just a ribbon with a LOVE button and a red doily.

It's All About Boys at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge!!

Happy day everyone!!! I hope that you are all having a marvelous week--mine has been running hither, thither and yon and as Murphy"s Law takes over I have been feeling under the weather for a couple of days....just thought it was a little cold BUT since I couldn't even breathe enough to get through an hour of Tai Chi, I thought I better take a trip to the best doctor in the world...Anyway, as you all know I am heading out to Anaheim, CA for CHA on Sunday so I need to be WELL and spry! I have bronchitis and pneumonia but I am gonna be well by in the morning, no matter what!!!! Would you please cross your fingers for me??? LOL

This week at the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge the theme is Oh Boy - Masculine Creations and there is a very nice prize from Nitwits Collections. Please come on over and join in with us! We would love to see your masculine creations. And oh my, these boys cards are really difficult for me!!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the Toy Box Collection by Crate Paper, and all panels are machine stitched. The image is the Little Lorry Bear who is having so much fun in his homemade truck!! He was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics, Promarkers, and Flexmarkers. He had two left over pencils that he didn't use for the wheels--those pencils are just dollhouse miniatures and are so cute!! haha For the horizontal I used a triple of regular kitchen twine to tie on a little chipboard clock. To finish the front I added a truck button at the bottom left.

For my card today I used the VERY darling Heidi which is a new rubber design by the quintessentially talented Sylvia Zet for Whimsy Stamps. She was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics, adding some Doodlebug Flock to her fur and Prisma Glitter to the snow. The base and all double matting is Bazzill, the DP is Martha Stewart, and all panels are machine stitched. For the horizontal I used a blue grosgrain ribbon topped with a red frilly organza ribbon, which is tied into a double flat bow using a Bow Easy from Magnolia-licious. I only added some WOC Self-Adhesive Pearls and a feathery/pearly/netty rosette from someplace!!! You will also notice that I used Star Dust Stickles around each of the panels.

On the first panel on the inside there is just more of the same ribbons and a Thank You charm from Michaels. On the second panel I used a double flat bow atop the jotting spot using New Tab 1 Die with the New Thank You Tabs 1 Sentiment Set which I stamped in red.

Today is also the next challenge over at Wild Orchid Challenge where the theme is CREATURE COMFORTS. We would like to see some sort of creature/insect/animal on your project. And as always there will be a marvelous prize offered to you by Wild Orchid Crafts. So please come over and join in with us for this fun challenge!!!!

For my card I used the absolutely darling little Wee Bunny by Sylvia Zet for Whimsy Stamps which was colored with Flexmarkers and Promarkers. I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the Glitz Pretty In Pink Paper Pack, and all background panels are machine stitched. (NOTE: So many of you have asked me where I get my DP and I wanted to share that I have found that the very best place is Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. Not only does she have the latest and greatest BUT her customer service is second to none!!! I can order paper on one day and within 2 days it is in my house....that is all the way across the country!!!) The little brown bag of hearts will hold a gift card. I must admit that I had used all but two of my hearts from the Mixed Heart Charm so I had to use some of the antique hearts and brass findings which were a gift from a Wisconsin pal. Thanks, Steve, for these sweet family pieces AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY to YOU!!!! I used some lovely Vintage Light Mink Seam Binding to tie the brass sconce in the upper corner. The Natural Cotton Lace was gathered down the side of the image using Scor-Tape. For the floral treatment I used a couple of 1" Open Roses and a 5/8" Open Rose which I sprayed with Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist. Finally I added one of the little heart pins from the Pearl Heart Shaped Pin Wheel.

The script card on the first panel was actually the backing for some Prima something...can't remember what...lol The heart which is from the Mixed Christmas Wooden Shape Embellishment set which was coated with a bit of Picket Fence Crackle Paint. And this lovely heart was one of my last remaining hearts from the WOC set and I tied it with some more seam binding. For the second panel I used more of the cotton lace and a distressed BINGO card along with my last WOC tiny heart and more seam binding.

This is as close as I get to Clean and Simple!! For my card I used Bazzill for the base and double matting, the DP is all from the We R Memorykeepers Love Struck paper pad, and the background panels are machine stitched. The image is by Crissy Armstrong for the new release at Whimsy and is Heart Hugs. The image is colored with Flexmarkers, Promarkers, and Copics. To make the bear look a little "fuzzier" I used some blending solution on a cotton ball to dab him softly. For the horizontal I used some satin/organza ribbon and for the left corner a Paper Heart Doily topped with a Venice Lace Heart. The sentiment is from the Whimsy Ticket Sentiments cut out with a Whimsy Ticket Die and is clipped to the image panel with a mini clothes pin. To finish the front I used some WOC Self-Adhesive Pearls to soften the corners.

Darling Maisie at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge

A very happy day to everyone!!! I hope you are having a splendid week and that you are having loads of crafting fun!!! Isn't it strange how sometimes we get on a real roll---and at other times we can't have the first creative thought??? Well, let's just hope we all get on that ROLL!!!! smiles!!

This week at Lili's Little Fairies Challenge our theme is LAVENDER and LACE so I hope you will get your little Lilis out and come on over and play along with us! You know there is a delightful prize for some lucky participant!!!!

I made a card and matching mini accordian folder using that darling little LOTV Maisie Two Balloons. For both projects I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the Wild Rose Studio Lilac Mist Paper Stack, and all background panels are machine stitched. The images were colored with Flexmarkers, Promarkers, and Copics, adding a bit of Prisma Glitter to the hairbows and Glossy Accents to the Balloons.

For the front of the card I used some lovely pre-gathered lace (a gift from my sweet friend Suzan) for the vertical panel. I also used some WOC Lilac Organza Ribbon for the double flat bow and all of the floral treatment is from Wild Orchid Crafts: 1" Open Roses, Hip Rosebuds, Carnations, Heather, and Aster Daisies resting on MS punched branches. The front was finished with several Self-Adhesive Rhinestones to soften the corners.

On the first panel on the inside I used some pink and lavender balloon buttons (sorry the picture does not capture the color correctly) tied with Divine Twine. For the jotting panel I used a MB Diecut with another bow and a few more rhinestones.

To make the little accordian file I used the directions by Maria Bell at the Scor-Pal site. And of course Scor-Tape was a necessity to hold everything together! Before I put the front panel on I used the same lace as the card to edge the panel. I also used the same flowers, diecut, ribbon,and rhinestones as the card.

In this picture of the file opened, you can also see that I edged each of the envelope pockets with an EK Success border punch. AND I did clip that stray thread after the picture was made...hahahah

Joy for You - Teardrops at Deep Ocean Challenge and SWEET STUFF!!

Best wishes for a wonderful Tuesday, everyone! I hope your week has started in a fantastic way and that the rest of the week will be just as wonderful!

Today is my first submission as part of the Deep Ocean Challenge Blog and I hope you will visit and join in with us this fortnight where the theme is SPARKLES. For my card, I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the Journey Collection by Authentique, and all panels are machine stitched. The darling image I used is Morehead's Joy for You - Teardrops which I colored with Flexmarkers and Promarkers--loving those Flexmarkers!! I added some Doodlebug Flock to the buttons and Prisma Glitter to the collar and cuffs. Isn't that little puppy the cutest thing?!?! For the horizontal I used a turquoise sparkly ribbon tied into a double flat bow, as well as some WOC Aqua Divine Twine to tie on a little puffed heart charm from the WOC Mixed Heart Charm Collection. The floral treatment is also from Wild Orchid Crafts: Carnations, Sweetheart Blossoms, and Long Stem Stamens resting on a few white ferns from Magnolia. To finish the front I added several Self-Adhesive Rhinestones.

The inside is very simple so that the lovely swirly paper shows--on the first panel I just added a MM LOVE Metal Sign with parts of a Self Adhesive Crystal Swirl and on the jotting panel just more of the same from the front of the card.

Happy Friday, everyone!!! I hope you have all had a magnificent week! We have had rain galore but tonight I hear threats of freezing rain OR white stuff!!! So I'm keeping my fingies crossed that no shoveling is required!!!

This week at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge I am thrilled to be hosting and I would love for you all to come over and join in with us. There is a very nice prize being offered by 7 Kids College Fund and I have made, what I think, is a very fun sketch! So get your Maggies or Hanglies together and come on over!!!! Here is my sketch:

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the Carolina Breeze Pad by Teresa Collins, and all panels are machine stitched. I have used the darling little Tilda With Flowers from the new Sweet Crazy Love Collection at Magnolia-licious. She was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics, Flexmarkers, and Promarkers, adding a bit of Star Dust Stickles to the flowers. For the horizontal I used WOC Lace and PTI grosgrain ribbon tied into a flat bow. The flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts: Small Curly Wild Rose, Dove Grey Open Roses, Hip Rosebuds, Aster Daisies. To finish the front I used Small Gold Metal Corners from WOC.

The inside is very simple--on the first panel I added some tiny pearl hearts to the ribbon streamers...and on the jotting panel, a flat bow and another decorative metal corner.

Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - My Favorite LOTV Stamp and SWEET STUFF!!!!

Happy Day to everyone!!! I hope your week is going exceptionally well and that things are great wherever you may be! We have had rain for a couple of days but at least there is no shoveling...Gosh I dread seeing that white stuff come...eeeeek!!! And the days are clicking away until I will be at CHA and I am so excited!!! I will have regular postings while I am away with some "found" goodies for you!!

Today is Week 2 at the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge and we were asked to use our favorite LOTV stamp. Of course I could have closed my eyes and picked any of them and that would have been my favorite...smile!!! I have used the darling little LOTV Teddy Bears Picnic and nothing is cuter than a tea party with some huggable little bears! The image was stamped on X-Press It and colored with Copics. The base and all double matting is Bazzill, the DP is from the Lily Bee Designs Head Over Heels Tiny Tablet, and all panels are machine stitched. I used some PTI satin ribbon for the horizontal and the double flat bow at the top which is dangling a teapot charm. For the floral treatment I used a 1 1/2" Classic Sweet Rose, 1" Open Roses, and Sweetheart Blossoms, from Wild Orchid Crafts, along with some crystal blossoms, all resting on MS punched branches. To complete the front, I also added a teacup charm in the foreground.

The simple inside is just more of the same supplies with the addition of a MM Live Laugh Love metal sign.

Wild Orchid Challenge - Anything Goes!!! and WINNER!!! and SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy Monday, everyone!!! I hope you have all had a delightful and crafty weekend and hope you have a great week!! We have had a rainy weekend so it has been get inside stuff (argh) done...and look for those necessities for the cottage house...lolol...but it is progressing...as much as a 1920's house can progress...hahaha!! The coloring room and the paper room are almost finished and I have started to move stamps....I can't believe I am finding so much stuff and so many duplicates...I must live in a haze and suffer from old-age forgetfulness when it comes to shopping...never fear, though, I WILL share with you all!!! Here is a little snippet of the coloring room...smile...will show you the entire place when it's finished...lol...if EVER!!!!

Today is a new challenge at Wild Orchid Challenge and for this two weeks it is ANYTHING GOES!!! That's always FUN!!! So we hope you will come over and play along with us this time because you know there is a magnificent surprise from the sweet folks at Wild Orchid Crafts as always.

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the MME Love Me paper pad, and all panels are machine stitched. I used the sweet little Morehead Joy for You - Sweety image and colored her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Gosh if there were as many colors in Flexmarkers as there are in Copics, I would use them ALL the time...I just love that brush end!! I added a bit of Glamour Dust on her ruffles, Glossy Accents on the ice cream and ball, and pompons on the top of the hats. Isn't that little puppy the cutest thing!!!! The HELLO is an epoxy sticker. For the double horizontal I used Queen Blue Seam Binding from WOC. For the floral treatment I used Cherry Blossoms, Heather, Gypsophilia, and Hip Rosebuds, all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

On the first panel on the inside I made a banner using a SU Pennant Punch and connected them with more of the seam binding. And on the jotting panel, from the seam binding bow, I dangled a Made for You charm from the WOC Mixed Heart Charm Set.

FOUND SWEET STUFF!!!! All of my FOLLOWERS know that I just love giving SWEET STUFF and the more I move my crafting to the cottage house, the more SWEET STUFF I will have for you!!! Gosh!! I just hope the mail systems get all sorted out because during the holidays the mail has been TERRIBLE!!! There are 3 packages of SWEET STUFF out there somewhere which were mailed in December and I can only track them as far as Miami, Florida....it is so darn aggravating!!!! Lili's Little Fairies Challenge

A very happy day to everyone!!!! I hope you all are having a wonderful week and are back into the swing of things for this new year!! I have been very busy since the holiday running errands and completing chores in the cottage house and today I finally moved all of the coloring STUFF...so I HAVE to go over there now...lolol...although it's alot of work to get everything moved, it still is alot of fun, too!!

Today is the very first challenge for the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge Blog and all of the little Fairies are so excited to share this first posting with you all!!!! I am so happy to be one of the little Fairies and I would love to see you visit us and join in with us this week for a very nice surprise!!!! This first theme is to think about NEW BEGINNINGS....which is entirely your perception of the theme! Be sure to check on the challenge's rules on the right sidebar so that you will be in for the wonderful prize!

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base and all matting, and the DP is from the We R Memory Keepers Love Struck Paper Pad. I used the XXL Square Frame Frilly #2b by Go Kreate to make my shaped card and these dies are absolutely wonderful!!!! They cut doubled heavy cardstock beautifully!!!! And they have such unique shaped dies!!! I can't recommend them enough!! The image I used is the very sweet LOTV Bunnies - In Love which I colored with Copics and Flexmarkers. The image was encircled with some very pretty white heart lace. The lace and DP were gifts from my sweet friend Suzan.....thanks so much, sweetie!!! Finally I added a white grosgrain bow to finish the front.

You can see that this is actually an easel card and the stop on the base is another bow with WOC Sweetheart Blossoms. The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a Whimsy Elegant Notables 1 Die.

A very Happy New Year to each of you!!! Gosh, I hope that you all have experienced a wonderful holiday season and are ready to begin a fantastically crafty New Year! Doesn't that sound exciting?!?! It certainly does to me!!! I am ready to move into new territories and enjoy the heck out of this year after the past one...lolol At the end of the month, I will be going to CHA to represent the fabulous Diana and Roy at Magnolia-licious/Scor-Pal and am so excited about meeting so many wonderful bloggers in real life!!!!

I want to place a note here that I have no idea what has happened to the mail EVERYWHERE this holiday season....but all of the SWEET STUFF has been mailed and I have tried to track some that I have not heard about but that is almost impossible. I have heard so many horror stories about the mail that I wanted you all to know that I am not the only one who has experienced unbelievable delays, etc. Several packages that I sent were were returned to me by Customs which makes no sense at all!!! A package I sent priority to the UK on November 28 finally arrived on December 24 after making a trip to the United Arab Emirates....go figure!!! And several of my friends have had lost orders and packages!!! So let's be patient a bit longer and see if things start to settle down!!!

I wanted to show you a card I made using the darling little Tilda With Pie, although I don't know why she is named that...lol She is a part of the brand new Sweet Crazy Love Collection which is available at Magnolia-licious. I used Bazzill for the base and for all double matting, the glittery DP is from the First Edition Isabelle Paper Pad, and all panels are machine stitched. The image was colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, adding a bit of Star Dust Stickles to the lace on her shirt and pants. Again, I share with you that the more I use the Flexmarkers, the more I love the brush tip....it is so much softer and easier to use than the Copics! I also added a bit of Stickles to one layer of the Nesties used to cut her out. For the vertical I used some pre-gathered lace and PTI grosgrain ribbon tied into a flat bow. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts: Wild Rose and Open Roses. To finish the front I used parts of some Self-Adhesive Swirls and some Self-Adhesive Rhinestones.

The inside of my card is more of the same, adding just a sweet gold charm on the first panel and more of the lovely swirls on the jotting panel.

Flexmarker SWEET STUFF!!!!

I bought another Flexmarker set for one of my lucky FOLLOWERS to celebrate the New Year!!! This time it is Set 2 which consists of the most beautiful pale, pastel colors you have ever used!!! They are so beautiful!!! In addition I have found a couple of sets of Inkadinkado Clear Valentine's Day stamps in my stash that I would love to add to the SWEET STUFF this time!!!

Whimsy Stamps Showcase -- WINNER -- SWEET STUFF!!

A very happy Wednesday to everyone!! I hope that your week is going well and that you are closer and closer to being prepared for the big day!!

Today is the last day of showcasing the absolutely wonderful December Release at Whimsy Stamps and I have selected another little WEE darling designed by the amazing Sylvia Zet for Whimsy. The image is Rose and Felix which I colored with Copics, Promarkers, and Flexmarkers, adding tiny pearls to her headband and for an earring and a bit of StarDust Stickles to the flowers....She and her little kitty are too cute!!!! For the horizontal I used some lace from my stash threaded with some peach seam binding which is tied into a triple flat bow to dangle a double heart charm from the WOC Mixed Heart Charms set. I also used double heart diecuts made with the new Whimsy Country Heart Die. The floral treatment, resting on MS punched branches, is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: 1 3/8" Peach Trellis Rose, Peach Carnation, and Baby's Breath Flowers. I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and the DP is from the First Edition New Leaf Paper Pad.

A Gift for a Friend--Wild Orchid Challenge

A very happy Monday to everyone! My hopes are that you are all ready for the holiday season and are kicked back and enjoying each moment.

Today at Wild Orchid Challenge we were asked to make something for a friend using a Christmas theme. This is our last challenge for 2011, and our first challenge in the New Year will be on January 9, 2012. This has been such a fun year at the challenge and we have seen so many absolutely gorgeous cards and projects every fortnight. We are certainly looking forward to an even more marvelous New Year at Wild Orchid Challenge with loads of fun and, as always, gorgeous prizes for YOU!!

I decided to make an oval gift box for a rose lover and I hope you all like it! I found the box in my stash and thought it would work well with all of the lovelies from Wild Orchid Crafts---and every single item I have used is from WOC, my favorite shop in all of Cyberland!!!! I first encircled the box top with Red Guipure Lace and trimmed the bottom with 1/2" Red Satin Ribbon. I used Holly Leaves and 1" Red Wild Roses on top of the lace. For the box top I used 1 1/4" Red Silk Ribbon for the horizontal and for the double flat bow. The flower arrangement on the top of the box is made with a 1 3/4" Curly Wild Rose, more 1" Red Wild Roses, Holly Leaves, and Red Holly Berries.

On the inside of the box I used a sweet sentiment from Stempelglede along with a rosette made from the same flowers as the front!

Happy Saturday everyone!!! Gosh, do you all feel the excitement of the season??? There are so many things going on these days that I am not really sure that I am in touch....so many new releases....so many changes...and so much holiday spirit galore...that....who am I really and what am I supposed to be doing next!!! I love it!!!! At least it gives me a good excuse to be completely OUT OF IT!!!! hahahhah

I decided I wanted alot of texture in the wagon so I added lots of greenery made with a MS Branch Punch, tiny 4mm Closed Rosebuds, and Gypsophilia. HUGS and KISSES are from the
Love Mini Tickets sentiment set and were cut out with Mini Ticket Die. The horizontal is SU grosgrain dotted ribbon tied into a double flat bow.

I just had to use the absolutely darling Raining Tilda Hearts which is a special stamp only available at Creashop Duymelot in the Netherlands and for each stamp sold the shop will donate two euros to the Pink Ribbon Society for Breast Cancer Research and Outreach. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, adding a bit of Star Dust Stickles to the lace on her dress. She was cut out with Nesties and encircled with that sweet red lace which was a gift from my sweet and talented friend Suzan. For the horizontal I used red frilled organza ribbon tied into a double flat bow to dangle a lovely double heart charm from the WOC Mixed Heart Charms Set. I have also used some of the Red Crystal Heart Chandeliers with gold stems to give some interest to the upper left side. The floral treatment is all by WOC: 1 1/4" Wild Rose, 1" Open Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms, and 1/8" Closed Rosebuds. The front was finished with a few Self-Adhesive Pearls.

The inside is very simple using the same papers and embellies including another sweet heart from WOC...this one reminds me of the collection of hearts that little Tilda has on the front of the card!

Ski Jumping is FUN!! and SWEET STUFF!!!

A very happy Thursday to everyone!! I'm sure that you are all busy getting ready for the holiday season...so just enjoy!!!

My card today is for no special reason except that I wanted to play with this sweet little fun-loving image from LOTV called Ski Jump...and isn't he having a fun time with his cute little puppy!!!! I used Bazzill for the base and double matting, the DP is from the Winter Park Paper Pad by Echo Park, and all background layers are machine stitched. The image was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding Prisma Glitter to the snowflakes, and a combination of Liquid Applique, glitter, and Twinklets for the icy snow on the ground, then cutting him out with Nesties. I also added a touch of Doodlebug Flock to his hat. For the horizontal I used 1/2" Burgundy Satin Ribbon tied into a double flat bow to dangle a couple of Miniature Gold Bells. The flower treatments are all from Wild Orchid Crafts: 1 3/8" Trellis Roses, 1" Open Rose, and Carnations resting on Holly Leaves. The flowers were all frosted with Twinklets and are resting on glittery snowflake ornaments. Oh I almost forgot...at the bottom of the horizontal you can barely detect a MS Icicle punched band which I covered with Prisma Glitter. To finish the front I used some Self-Adhesive Pearls.

On the first panel on the inside I used more of the glittery snowflake ornaments topped with flat bows. For the jotting panel I used an organza envelope to hold a card for a wee note and I hope you can detect that on the card I used North Pole Express postmark from the LOTV Grunge Christmas Postmarks set and smaller glittery snowflakes with pearls to decorate the envelope.

SWEET STUFF for my FOLLOWERS...As I am re-organizing for my move to the cottage, you cannot believe how many things I am finding that are duplicates in my stash....sigh...and some things which I KNOW I will never have a use for. So I will continue to offer them here because one of you may be interested...

I found an extra set of the LOTV For You Circular Sentiments which as you can see have so many different occasions covered. I have them in the original rubber and now these newer ones are offered as clear stamps and these have never been used. I ordered these without realizing that I already had a set... You know that I will also add some other goodies to the package. So if my FOLLOWERS will just leave your info with the Blue Froggy (or if you don't have a blog, leave a comment with your email address) before Friday, December 16 at midnight EST you may be the lucky winner!! I also found this Spellbinders Grand Rose Borderability that measures 12" long and I have no earthly idea why I even bought this...I think I thought it would be much smaller than it really is and of course I love roses BUT this one was not for me!! haha...but someone may have a real need or use for it especially in scrapbooking...certainly I don't!! For my card today I used the absolutely darling little Sylvia Zet Wee Spring Bringer from the new December Release and isn't she the cutest!!! She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics, Promarkers, and Flexmarkers, adding Prisma Glitter to her wings and butterfly, and gold Spica to the little bells. The die cut sentiment was made using the new Friendship Notables cut out with the Notables 2 die. The base of the card and all double matting is Bazzill and the DP is from the Valetta Garden paper pack by Wild Rose. For the horizontal I used a BRIGHT 1" organza ribbon. The floral treatment, in which I tried to match what the little girl is holding, is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: 1 1/2" Trellis Rose, Sweetheart Blossoms, and Decorative Crown Pins. The front was finished with Self-Adhesive Pearls.

I hope you like my little creation today and if you want one of these little girlies in your home, I am giving you that possibility in my SWEET STUFF below....smiles!!!

Wild Orchid Challenge and SWEET STUFF X Four!!

Happy Monday to everyone!! I hope you had a magnificent weekend and are ready for a great week!! I didn't get very much done over the weekend---it was my kickback time. But this week I hope to get more things moved and more things organized...sure sure!! lolol

For this fortnight over at Wild Orchid Challenge we were asked to make an EASEL CARD and we would love for you to come over and join in with us! Just be sure to read all of the rules at the top of the challenge so you will not be disqualified because of too many challenges, etc. And of course there is always an absolutely amazing prize offered by Wild Orchid Crafts--my very favorite store to go to for the most beautiful flowers and embellishments!!!

I made an easel card atop a two drawer box which is actually two kitchen match boxes stuck together with loads of Scor-Tape and covered with DP--isn't that tape amazing!!! I love it!! This box will NOT fall apart and the Scor-Tape gives the box much more stability !!! This little box is just the right size for a few truffles or some tea lights in the small drawers. I used Bazzill, X-Press It, and Inkido papers and the image is MINI Something For You Tilda which is available at Magnolia-licious as part of a two stamp set with Ribbon Tilda...and at a very special price also!! She was colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers (love them!!!), adding a bit of Prisma glitter to the fur trim.

This cute Tilda MINI was cut out with #120013 Frilly Squares #2 by Go Kreate which I turned on its end to showcase the image. If you have not tried these magnificent dies, I can tell you that they cut out like a dream with absolutely no problems!!! I used my little Cuttlebug and at first I thought I had forgotten the B Plate because it went through so easily...but it cut the shapes out perfectly and without a tiny bit of resistance!!! Phenomenal!!! And the gorgeous shapes made by this company are amazing! If you are like me, after having a peek, you will want ALL of them....lolol!

And now for my Wild Orchid Crafts fix....for the floral treatment I used Baby Pink Organza Beehive Blossom Flowers, Sage Green Baby's Breath Flowers, and centered by a multi-bow made with Rose Pink Vintage Seam Binding Ribbon. For the feet and for the drawer knobs I used Large Pearl Brads and the two escutcheons on the front of the drawers are from the Mixed Metal Embellishments which I sprayed with flat white paint. I used White Pearl Drop Trim around the outside edge of the box and Self-Adhesive Pearls to soften the corners. For the stops I used some tiny Heart-Shaped White Pearl Beads.

Yippppeeeee!!! Ice Tilda at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge and SWEET STUFF!!

A very happy Friday to everyone! I hope you have had a marvelous week and I can bet that you are all looking forward to the weekend!! It has gotten really cold here this week and we even had some snow flurries....which I tried to ignore!!!! lol

This week at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge we are being hosted by the sweet and talented Donalda. Although the challenge this week is ANYTHING GOES, Donalda has given us the option of SPARKLES...wooohoooooo!!!! There is a magnificent prize from Simon Says Stamp so we hope you will come on over and decide to join in with us this week. We would love to see your exciting creations!!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from Inkido's Christmas line from last year, and all background panels are machine stitched. I used Ice Tilda from the new Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection and the Alota Park and Pond background, both from Magnolia-licious. All of the coloring on the images is done with Promarkers and the new Flexmarkers all by Letraset. And as much as I enjoy my Copics, I enjoy these markers just as much. As a matter of fact there are some things about the Letraset markers that I prefer over Copics: 1. The small hard nibs on the Promarkers allow me to color in very small areas much easier 2. The shades of pinks are much more to my liking on the Letraset line. 3. The very soft brush nib on the Flexmarkers is a real joy to use. Although there are not as many different colors in the Letraset line as there are Copics, they are wonderful to fill in the gaps between Copic colors. I am finding that alcohol ink markers ARE alcohol ink markers AND the more coloring toys I have, the better!!! And they can all be used together!!!!

For the horizontal on my card I used a stitched grosgrain ribbon topped with Raschel Lace, and a double flat bow made with 1/2" Shocking Pink Satin Ribbon to dangle a snowflake charm from the WOC Mixed Christmas Metal Embellishments. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts:Pink Wild Rose, Pink Rosebuds, Rose Leaves, resting on a glittery snowflake ornament. For the texture on my card I used Liquid Applique and Prisma Glitter for the snow, Glossy Accents on the frozen pond, WOC Clear Self Adhesive Rhinestones for the snowflakes, and Doodlebug Flock for the muff and trim on her boots.

The inside is very simple, using the same supplies and design from the front.

I have been thinking of a trip to Home Depot for some shelves and brackets but I have not gotten my nerve up yet...lol...But I did buy some hot pink microsuede boxes to hide some of my evils over at the new paper room...so will show you how that looks later...smiles! For those of you who have asked...I am NOT moving over to my parents' home....just that crazy crafting part of me is moving so that I can finally have some room in my own house. We will see how that all works out!!

Today I wanted to show you some snowflake ornaments that I have made for Diana at Magnolia-licious who told me that her tree is teal/silver/white this year. So, Lady Diana, I hope you like them!! They were quite easy to make using the darling little MINIS from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection. Diana has a special offer going on in which you can get two selected MINI stamps for one price. And the sets that she has put together are so delightful.

The images were colored with Copics, adding touches of glitters, and were cut out with Nesties. I encircled each image with some 100 Grit Turquoise German Glass Glitter from Wild Orchid Crafts. Each ornament was finished with double bows made with two types of organza ribbon. The frames are by Yarn Tree. The sweet images I have used are MINI Halo Tilda and MINI Holly Tilda which is one set, MINI Something For You which is offered in a set with Ribbon Tilda, and MINI Glittering Tilda which is offered in a set with Edwin on Christmas Eve.

I hope you like my little snowflake ornaments and will try some of those darling MINIS for your holiday decorations. Thank you so very much for coming by and I hope you will return soon. A very happy and enjoyable Thanksgiving to everyone who is celebrating this day of remembering all of the things we should be thankful for! And to each of you, whether this is your holiday or not, I want to express my sincere thanks to you for all of the many joys you continue to bring into my life. Over the past year or so, you have always been there to cheer me on!!! Gosh, when things seemed to be going haywire in my life, I could always connect with you and you always made things much better--even in the darkest of hours! So yes!!! I have many things to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day!! And YOU are certainly one of those things!

This is the first year in all of my 64 years that I will be without a Mom and a Dad during this holiday season but I can be thankful for those years that I had with them. I can also be thankful for a loving (and protective) Auntie who means the world to me! And I can be thankful for friends, both near and far, who bring so much joy! So rather than the traditional turkey today, I will spend time TRYING to make ready the crafting cottage.

A wonderful Monday and a magnificent week to each of you!! I had a great weekend....well a working weekend but things are looking up for the old Joie de Vivre Cottage...smiles!!! I will give you a little bit more info about the Cottage in a later posting!! Smiles!!

My posting today makes my head swim!!! But no time like the present to get started! This is my card/project for the Wild Orchid Challenge and for this fortnight the challenge is CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS! How fun is that!!!! And you know there is always a wonderful prize from Wild Orchid Crafts for some lucky participant. So please come over, have a peek at the marvelous DT samples, and join in with us. This may your lucky week!!

I made a gift box with an easel card affixed to the top of it. And you can see that I used WOC 1" Gingham Ribbon, 25mm Poinsettia centered with a Small Moonstone Brad, some White Berries for snowballs, some Divine Twine for the fence bows, and some Self-Adhesive Rhinestones on the snowflake ornaments.

The image I used is from the latest release over at Whimsy Stamps and is the New Christmas Bunny designed by the amazing artist Sylvia Zet. The image was colored with Copics, Promarkers, and Flexmarkers, adding a bit of Liquid Applique for the snow, Glamour Dust for the snowflakes, and Doodlebug Lily White Flock for the fur. The fence is from an old train set and it was topped with Liquid Applique also.

The sentiment on the base of the image is from the New Winter Notables 1 set and it was cut out using the New Notables 1 Die, both designed by the super talented Ann Vento!!

Happy, Happy Friday to each of you!!! Gosh, I hope your week was as wonderful as mine! I had told you earlier that my oncologist was so concerned about nodules which continued to be observant in my lungs...and I was prepared for the worst yesterday!!!! BUT....when he came into my room, I queried about the verdict and shared that I was prepared for whatever he had to tell me...his response was he needed a great BIG hug first!!!!! He then told me that he had NO explanation and could not even begin to describe to me what had happened BUT ALL of the nodules have completely disappeared and that was after they had done 3 separate CT and MRI scans...those nodules have disappeared!!!!! Gosh, I was AMAZED and so happy!!!!! I can't even tell you how happy I have been!!!! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!!! Something worked!!!! BIG SMILE!!!!!

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the BG Nordic Holiday Collection and all background panels are machine stitched. The darling little Holly Tilda from Magnolia-licious was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics, and cut out with double Nesties. She was placed on a red heart doily by Wilton. The vertical is a sparkling ribbon tied into a double flat bow and topped with a couple of WOC Christmas Berries. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: Poinsettias and Holly Leaves.

The inside is just more of the same with Poinsettias and ribbon.

LOTV Little Sleepy Head

Happy Day to everyone!!! I hope your week is a magnificent one!!! Mine is quite busy but that's how I like it!!! I have my regular trip to the oncologist this afternoon and what a bummer that is--just messes up my entire day!!

I wanted to show you a sweet little card I made using one of the latest images from Lili of the Valley and this image is so darn cute that I could just squeeze that little cuddled down bear!! He is Little Sleepy Head and he was colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers adding a touch of Prisma Glitter to the mobile. The base of the card is Bazzill, the double matting is PTI, the DP is from the Kaisercraft Lullaby Collection, and all background panels are machine stitched. I was challenged by my lovely friend Gunilla to make a shaker card sooooooooo...here it is, Gunilla! I used an IO Shake It and cut out the openings with a Nestie, surrounding the image with some lovely blue lace from my sweet friend Suzan. Thanks, sweetie, you know I LOVE lace!!! I filled the shake it with It's A Boy confetti from the local party shop. For the horizontal I used some polka dot grosgrain and dangled a baby footsies charm from the double flat bow.Finally I added a baby boy bead bracelet and some polka dot buttons to the corners!

The inside is very simple, adding another horizontal with double flat bow to the first panel and on the jotting panel, a sentiment from the For You Circular Sentiments set and several baby buttons.

As you all are aware, I am much too old to even know anyone who needs a baby card, so if you have a special need for a baby boy card, I will be more than happy to send this one out to you! Just jot me a note or leave it in a comment!!

Christmas Portfolio and WINNER and wee peek!!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!! I hope your week is progressing wonderfully and you are enjoying each moment! I am kinda busy at the moment...supervising and moving stuff!

I wanted to share with you a holiday portfolio I made for the 4th Issue of the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine. The image you see above is one of the inside panels of the portfolio and I used one of the darling little Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet called Winter Fairy. She was stamped on X-Press It Blending card and colored with Promarkers, adding Liquid Applique and Prisma Glitter.

The following pics show the portfolio standing on the table and a couple of close up shots of the inside panels:

Simple How To:
The base is cut from heavy white CS which measures 18"X24". This size allows the portfolio to stand up when unfolded. On the long side, score at 6", 12", and 18". On the shorter side, score at 6". Fold at the score lines and use a very strong adhesive tape to make the 4 pockets at the bottom--I ALWAYS use Scor-Tape and know that the portfolio will stay together. Each panel on the outside measures 6"X12", and on the inside each panel is a 6" square. I machine stitched each panel but of course that is not necessary. I also double matted each panel which is also not necessary. Proceed to decorate the back and the inside as you wish. I purchased tags, weekly planner,note cards, etc to put into the pockets but that is up to you!!! I also made some library pockets to hold additional tags. Have fun!!!

A very happy Friday to everyone!!! I hope your week has ended on a magnificent note and that your upcoming weekend will be just as delightful! For those of you who have asked, the cottage is moving right along and I can assure you that I will be working over there most of the weekend...I will be so anxious to be able to finally walk through my own house...hahahah!!!

Have you all checked out the darling new collection over at LOTV??? The new stamps are now out and I'm sure many of them are already coming to your homes!!! There are GORGEOUS FAIRIES, ANGELS, MICE & BABIES & SOME GREAT NEW SENTIMENTS TOO!

For my card today I have used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the MME Lime Twist - Life of the Party Collection, and all panels are machine stitched. The image I have used is from the LOTV new release and is that cute little Never Too Old For Cupcake...she is having so much fun and really celebrating someone's special birthday!!!! She was colored with Letraset Promarkers and FLEXMARKERS, which are quickly moving into my favorite products list...smiles!!! I added Glossy Accents to the frosting and Prisma Glitter to the wings. Note: I was moving so quickly this morning that I forgot to color the headband and antennae before the picture was taken.....smiles!!!! I never suggested I was NOT an absent-minded professor...lolol The sentiment is included with the stamp!! What a deal is that!!!! For the horizontal I used a ribbon with tiny dots tied into a double flat bow. The glittery cupcake is an ornament from my stash which I covered with WOC Fine German Glass Glitter. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts:Large 2-Tone Mixes Color Mulberry Paper Wild Roses 1¼" (30mm) and Sweetheart Blossoms.

The inside is very simple because the DP is so bright and cheerful. On the first panel I added a metal Happy Birthday tag to the Bow...and on the jotting panel a couple of Heart Shaped Pearl Ribbon Sliders.

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I hope you week is going great and that you are enjoying each moment!

I wanted to show you another little gift set of card and gable box that I made for the Issue 4 of the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine. I used Meljen's darling Acorn Mouse stamped on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding Prisma Glitter, and cutting it out with double Nesties. Isn't this mousie just darling!!!

For the card, I used Bazzill for the base, PTI for all double matting, the DP is from an older Recollections Fall paper pad, and all background panels are machine stitched. For the horizontal I used a PTI grosgrain ribbon to hold the image on the card and tied it into a double flat bow. The sentiment is from Ann Vento's Autumn Letter Seals set.

For the horizontal on the inside I crimped the craft paper to match the gable box and added another flat bow. For the second panel I used some acorn and leaves epoxy stickers for a bit of shine! Thank you, Suzan, for the papers and the autumn surprises!!!!

This front and back view of the gable box shows that it is a complement to the card, using the same image, sentiment, papers, and ribbon with the addition of some acorn table scatter. I used some little plastic jars to hold the two kinds of fall candies.

Wild Orchid Challenge and LOTV Sneaky Peeky!!

A very happy Monday to everyone! I hope you all had a magnificent weekend and will have a wonderful week. I was busy, busy, busy all weekend but hopefully things will start to settle down...before the snows come anyway...lolol

For this fortnight at Wild Orchid Challenge we were asked to use BLUE and BROWN on our cards/projects. This was a really fun one for me so please come on over and check out the DT sample cards and decide to join in with us--we would love to see your creations, too!!! In order to be eligible for the wonderful prize(s) always offered at the challenge, please remember to follow these little rules!!!

This is also my first SNEAKY PEEKY of the absolutely adorable images which are going to be available at the LOTV Web Shop on November 10...and Gosh, they are all so precious! You can check out more SNEAKY PEEKS of this Collection over at LOTV Ideas to Inspire!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the Bo Bunny Snowfall Collection, and all background panels are machine stitched. I used the sweet little Icy Angel from the new LOTV collection and she was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Promarkers and FLEXMARKERS and let me tell you I am completely sold on the wonderful brush nib on these new markers. You all know that I love my Copics BUT the brush nibs on these markers are just wonderful....will tell you more about them very soon!!!! I also used alot of Glamour Dust, Stickles, and a touch of WOC's Fine Gold German Glass Glitter before cutting her out with Nesties. For the horizontal I used a wide brown grosgrain topped with light blue striped satin/organza ribbon. The floral treatments are made with Wild Orchid Craft products: Large Curly Wild Rose, Carnations, Aster Daisies, 1" Wild Rose, Tulips, and Decorative Crown Pins all resting on glitter snowflake ornaments. Finally I used Brown Self-Adhesive Pearls to soften the opposite corners. After my card was finished I wished that I had used 100 Grit Brown German Glass Glitter on the brown flowers.....sigh.

For the first panel on the inside I used double glitter snowflake ornaments topped with brown pearls. This sentiment is also included with the Icy Angel stamp...I cut it out with SB Fancy Tag and added a couple more brown pearls. The jotting panel has just a couple of smaller glitter snowflakes with pearls.

I hope you like my creation and will decide to join in with us over at the Wild Orchid Challenge...you will not believe the amazing prize!!!!

Glittering Tilda at Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge and WINNER!!

Happy Friday everyone! I am hoping that your week has been an exceptional one and that your are anxiously awaiting a splendid weekend. My week has been a very enjoyable one!! I have finally gotten through the 108 forms of Tai Chi...not that I have them memorized yet BUT I lived to tell about it...lolol AND I have been busily selecting flooring and fabric for my parents house which is going to be Jacque's crafting place, Joie de Vivre Cottage....smiles!! It will be so nice not to have to hop over boxes and paper pads...hahahah.. I will keep you informed of the progress!!! Wooohoooo!!!

Today at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge blog we are being hosted by the wonderfully talented Dena and we were asked to use PEARLS and LACE...doesn't that sound fun!!!! We hope you will come over and join in with us this week and show us your wonderful creations!! There is always some lovely prizes for a lucky participant!!

For my card, I used Bazzill for the base and for all double matting, the DP is all from the newest collection of Magnolia papers, and all panels are machine stitched. The darling image I used is #242 Glittering Tilda from the new Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection which is now available at Magnolia-licious...gosh, Diana has all of the stamps, papers, AND MINIS in the shop!!!! She was stamped on X-Press It Blending card and colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding Star Dust Stickles and MS Gold Glitter. For the horizontal I used a 1" Organza Ribbon topped with White Insertion Anglaise Lace and tied into a double flat bow to dangle 3 Miniature Gold Decorative Bells. To add a bit of interest I used a diecut from the Holly Flourish by Cheery Lynn and added some small Self Adhesive Pearls colored with Copics for the berries. The floral treatment is all from Wild Orchid Crafts: 1 3/8" Trellis Rose, Carnations from the Mixed Christmas Color Pack, and Sweetheart Blossoms resting on Holly Leaves. Finally I added more Pearls to soften some corners.

The inside is more of the same papers, ribbon, lace, bells, holly leaves, pearls, and bells! I hope you like my little creation and will decide to join in with us over at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge blog.

Happy Monday to everyone...and Happy Halloween to everyone who celebrates the day!! And a Very Happy Birthday to my sweet friend Christina who is celebrating her special day today!!!! I hope that you all had a marvelous weekend and are moving into what will be a delightful week!!

I wanted to show you another card I made for Issue 4 of the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine. I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the glittery DP is from the Merry Christmas Paper Pad by Best Creation, and all background panels are machine stitched. The sweet image I used is a Meljen's Designs Mr. & Mrs. Teddy Claus from Whimsy Stamps. It was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding a bit of Liquid Applique and Star Dust Stickles. I used a double flat bow made with Red Silk Ribbon to anchor a couple of Miniature Silver Ringing Bells dangling on Red Satin Ribbon all from Wild Orchid Crafts. For the horizontal I used some lovely WOC Cotton Lace. The floral treatment is all by WOC: Mulberry Paper Holly Leaves and Small Red Poinsettias which are centered with Small Moonstone Brads. You will also notice that I used a Green Fine German Glass Glitter around the image.

The inside is more of the same papers and supplies from the front of the card...and I wish the photo would show how glittery this paper pad really is!!!!

Happy Day everyone!!! I hope you have had a delightful week and are very ready for a magnificent weekend! It is rainy and dreary here but I am taking my 90 year old boyfriend (chuckles) out to lunch at a really great restaurant while his wife and my auntie go out for beauty shop stuff and shopping!!!! Happy Day everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! My several days away was a bit of fun and just a getaway!! But while I was away my house was broken into...actually a funny story!!! I had forgotten to tell my little 90 year old neighbor and my mailman that I was going to be away for several days. Mrs. Marge is very protective because I usually check on her all the time....and you can guess about my mailman...I get more packages than anyone on his route and I am always awaiting him to see what's new!!!! So on Tuesday, they both decided that something must be wrong so the mailman called his wife to come over to my house and she and Mrs. Marge called 911...and the city police, the sheriff, and the town police all converged on my house and broke in through a window and found me NOT HOME!!!! It's kinda nice to know that someone missed me while I was away!!! Too funny, huh?!?!

Anyway I wanted to show you a little gift set of card and gable box that I made for the Issue 4 of the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine. I used Meljen's darling Little Bunny Witch stamped on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding Stickles, Prisma Glitter, and Spica, and cut it out with double Nesties. Isn't she the cutest thing!!!

For the front of the card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is Happy Haunting by Best Creation, and all panels are machine stitched. For the horizontal I used a Spellbinders Halloween Fence and some chartreuse grosgrain ribbon tied into a bow and topped a Recollection jeweled button. The spider web is a Memory Box die and I have topped it with a jeweled spider and added the same jewels to the other corners. The sentiments on the card and gable box are from the digital Halloween Ticket Sentiments set. The gable box was decorated with the same materials I used on the card and I filled the 3 plastic jars with typical halloween candies. Pssssst...you can't see the M&Ms in the middle!!! Smiles!!

The inside is VERY simple because I wanted the charming papers to show. On the first panel I added another bow and topped it with a pumpkin pierced earring and on the second panel I used a halloween pin for the jotting spot.

Santa is Coming to Wild Orchid Challenge and SWEET STUFF!!!!

A very happy Monday to everyone! I hope you all had a blast of a weekend and are already moving into an exceptional week. But somehow Mondays are just not as wonderful as Fridays....smiles!! I am going away for several days but will be back on Wednesday so the SUNDAY SENSATIONS winner may be announced a little bit later than usual!

For this fortnight at Wild Orchid Challenge we were asked to make sure that Santa was somewhere on our cards/projects. This was a really fun one so please come on over and check out the DT sample cards and decide to join in with us--we would love to see your Santas, too!!! For my card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting; the DP is from the Merry Christmas Glitter Paper Pad by Best Creation; and all background panels are machine stitched. Santa with Lantern from the Santa Collection 2008 from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics and Promarkers and adding Liquid Applique and glitters, and was cut out and propped up with dimensional tape. His beard and eyebrows were covered with Doodlebug Flock. The fence is actually from an old electric train set to which I added more Liquid Applique for a snowy effect. I then added 1/4" Red Satin Ribbon bows to dangle the Miniature Silver Ringing Bells. Rather than a Bow-Easy I used a dinner fork to make those tiny bows....smiles!!! The sentiment is a Magnolia Post-Santa Is Coming also from Magnolia-licious and from the aforementioned collection. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: Red Mulberry Paper Poinsettias centered with Small Moonstone Brads and Aster Daisies, resting on Holly Leaves.

On the first panel on the inside I used more 1/4" Red Satin Ribbon bows to hold three ornaments from the Mixed Christmas Wooden Shape Embellishments set and on the second panel just a glitter star button.

SWEET STUFF!!!! To me, nothing says winter holidays and Christmas more than cute snowmen so let's have a little bit of SWEET STUFF for my FOLLOWERS!!!

I didn't have time to take pictures but what about if along with this cute Snowie with Bells we have some WOC Poinsettias, some bells, some snowflakes, and some holiday ribbons???? Just be sure to leave your comment by Wednesday, October 26 at midnight EST. Is that fun or not?? Good Luck!!

Today is our new challenge at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge and I would love for you to join in with us this week. This is a VERY special challenge for me and we are being hosted by the wonderfully talented Anne for our PINK for BREAST CANCER AWARENESS challenge. Please let our PINK week remind each and every one of you about the importance of being aware of breast cancer and what we can do to catch it early!!! That is definitely the KEY!!!! We can't wait to see you there with your lovely PINK creations!! There are 2 fabulous surprises up for grabs this week!!! We would love for you to have a peek at all of the magnificent DT Sample cards/projects over at the Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge...so please come on over and show us your PINK!!!

I made a 4-part portfolio which you see the front of above and which measures 6" X 12" when closed. This measurement allows it to stand on its own when opened. I apologize for the pics but I could not get the pinks to photograph as it is IRL so just pretend with me.....smiles!! I used some gorgeous WOC Self Adhesive Rhinestone Swirls on two of the corners and some lovely 1" Silver Grey Organza Ribbon to close the portfolio. For the floral treatment I used 1" Wild Roses, 5/8" Open Roses, and Heather resting on MS punched rose leaves and a couple of vintage German stems.

This is a full shot of the portfolio and the measurement is 12" X 24". It is very easy and of course you can decorate it any way you wish. I have made another in the Christmas theme which I will have here next week. I used Bazzill for all double matting and all of the DP is from the Authentique Uncommon Collection. All images are from the 2008 Magnolia Pink Collection from Magnolia-licious which was made especially for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research. I started with a piece of white CS which measured 18" X 24" (perhaps you can ask your local printer to cut you this base) and then I scored the long side at 6", 12", 18" and the short side at 6". I then folded the short side up to make the pockets and used Scor-Tape at each of the folds. You can see that I double matted and machine stitched each panel though that is not necessary. And then the fun begins!!!

On the first panel I added a calendar and put Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets and some pink colorway rhinestones in the pocket. For the second panel I used the Pink Tilda With Rose and Pink Stitched Ribbon which were colored in Copics and Promarkers, adding Prisma Glitter to her dress and Glossy Accents to the Rose. For the third panel I used Pink Tilda Ice/Ballet Princess , colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding Prisma Glitter to her clothes. The horizontal is WOC 1/2" Pink Satin Ribbon anchored with 2 grosgrain bows. In the pocket is a pink moleskin mini-notebook on which I have placed a Copic colored Magnolia Pink Strength, Cure, Hope Circle. The fourth panel is just a grosgrain bow with a pink mechanical pencil.

The fifth pocket holds some ribbon stickers and a pink 2012 weekly planner and the sixth panel has the Magnolia Pink Strength, Cure, Hope Text.
